My Mission
Welcome to Cat Markel Photography!
I use my camera to capture the world around me in unique, abstract perspectives. Although my primary focus is on nature, I also shoot industrial and architectural photography.
See for me, photography is an outlet. It allows me a chance to escape from the chaos, clutter, and noise of the world and just focus on the exact moment I'm in.
My Inspiration
Photography allows others to see the world through my eyes. Sometimes it's beautiful and awe-inspiring. Sometimes it's dark and gloomy. But so is life. God's beauty is all around us; we only need to just stop and look around.
As for my love of black and white, I feel that when you only shoot in black and white you can see the true beauty and emotion of the subject.
My Life
I live in a small community in Bucks County, PA with my husband and two teenage children. When I'm not out photographing the world around me, I love to hike, kayak, paint and craft, and enjoy spending time on my deck and garden. I also love to share God's word on my blog "Finding the Light".
